Catch the breakout earlier on lower time frame

In many cases, for example if we use M15 as our base for breakout trading, we can only get few pips and then the price already reverse against us. To avoid this, we can use lower time frame to catch the breakout earlier. See example below

M15 time frame trade setup

m15 breakout

On the M15 chart above we see a breakout but it will not give us enough pips profit. After we draw the trendline, switch to M5 and adjust the trendline to the latest resistant on M5.

M5 breakout

See the chart above. The pink line was drawn on M15 time frame and the black dash line was drawn on M5 time frame. We can open trade earlier on M5 time frame. Its about 10 pips difference between the breakout on M15 and M5. Its a good way to open the trade earlier and the stop loss is not too far.
